TechUnity was incorporated 2001 and commenced business as a product developer following the invention and deployment of selected homeland security solutions in Washington, DC. The delivery of these solutions resulted in the creation of robust software engineering practices offered to high-tech companies wishing to develop next generation products.

As the product development practice matured, it became evident that high-tech clients were developing next generation products as vehicles to attain high growth even before analyzing product lifecycles and market positions; and this served as the catalyst for creating the business consulting practice in 2003.
